Parts Specialist

Job Description Cernic University Towing & Repair is looking to hire a dependable and organized Parts Specialist to join our team. We are seeking a second team member for our parts department to assist with daily operations, including ordering, receiving, organizing, and distributing parts for our heavy-duty truck and trailer repair operations. The ideal candidate has experience working with automotive, diesel truck, or heavy-duty equipment parts and is comfortable working in a fast-paced repair shop environment. Responsibilities Assist with daily operations of the parts department. Look up, identify, and order parts for heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Work directly with technicians to ensure they receive the correct parts for repairs. Receive incoming shipments, verify orders, and stock inventory. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient parts room. Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishing stock. Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and deliveries. Track parts usage and maintain accurate inventory records. Assist with parts returns, warranties, and special orders. Support other parts department duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in automotive, diesel truck, or heavy-duty parts preferred. Familiarity with truck and trailer components is a plus. Ability to identify and look up parts using catalogs or computer systems. Basic computer skills and inventory management experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work with technicians and vendors. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. Ability to lift and move parts and supplies safely.
