Parts Runner | Shop Hand

Company: Parker Towing, a division of Guardian Fleet Services Pay: $17–$19 per hour Department: Shop Reports To: Shop Manager Position Type: Full-Time Overview We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on team player to help keep our shop and daily operations running smoothly. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone willing to learn, stay busy, and help wherever needed. Previous lube tech experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person. Responsibilities Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and materials as needed. Assist with transporting drivers to and from trucks and other locations. Perform light maintenance, including lubrication, oil changes, and light bulb replacement. Help keep the shop, work areas, and equipment clean and organized. Assist mechanics, the service writer, and driver managers with daily tasks. Help with filing, paperwork, and maintaining truck service records. Assist with organizing parts, tools, and supplies. Follow company safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid driver's license required. Dependable, organized, and willing to learn. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions. Previous lube tech, automotive, or shop experience preferred, but not required. Ability to perform basic physical tasks and lift or carry parts and supplies as needed. Working Conditions This position works primarily in a vehicle shop and may require travel between company locations to pick up parts or transport drivers. The employee must be comfortable working around trucks, tools, and shop equipment while following safety procedures. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or carry parts and supplies as needed to perform assigned duties.
