Parts Runner / Maintenance Parts Assistant
BFS ServicesPosition Overview BFS Services Inc., a family-owned and operated transportation and logistics company, is seeking a dependable and organized Parts Runner / Maintenance Parts Assistant. This position supports our Fleet Maintenance Department by picking up, delivering, receiving, and organizing the parts and supplies needed to maintain commercial trucks and trailers. Candidates should have automotive-related experience and a practical understanding of automotive parts and fluids. Key Responsibilities Pick up and deliver automotive, truck, and trailer parts from local suppliers. Verify part numbers, quantities, and specifications; assist technicians in locating correct parts. Help order, receive, stock, and organize parts, fluids, and maintenance supplies. Maintain receipts and parts records; coordinate returns, exchanges, and warranty items. Operate company vehicles safely and maintain an orderly parts storage area. Required Qualifications Previous automotive-related experience or experience working with automotive parts. Basic knowledge of engine oil, transmission fluid, hydraulic fluid, coolant, and lubricants. Familiarity with common parts such as filters, belts, hoses, and batteries. Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred Experience Automotive parts store, dealership parts department, automotive or diesel repair shop, heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, or parts inventory and ordering experience. Compensation & Schedule Starting pay: $20.00 per hour. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. How to Apply Apply through this job posting.
