We design, install, service, and maintain electronic security systems for multifamily communities, commercial properties, educational facilities, and businesses. Our solutions include access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom systems, and other low-voltage security technologies. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Part-Time Parts Manager to take ownership of our equipment inventory, warehouse organization, shipping and receiving, vendor returns, and online equipment sales. This is a hands-on position that combines physical inventory management with computer-based work. The ideal candidate enjoys organizing, working independently, researching products, and maintaining accurate records. Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Warehouse Management Maintain accurate inventory records for security equipment, parts, and supplies. Organize warehouse shelving, storage bins, and product labeling. Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect equipment. Record inventory receipts, transfers, and adjustments in Simpro. Prepare and stage equipment for scheduled installation and service jobs. Track parts issued to technicians and subcontractors. Assist with technician truck inventory management and replenishment. Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies. Identify excess, obsolete, damaged, and slow-moving inventory. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. Purchasing, Returns & RMAs Coordinate parts availability and purchasing needs with the Operations & Project Coordinator. Monitor incoming orders and assist with vendor shipment tracking. Identify missing or delayed parts that could impact scheduled jobs. Process manufacturer and distributor returns, warranty claims, and RMAs. Track outstanding returns, credits, and replacement equipment. Return unused job materials to inventory or prepare them for vendor returns. Communicate inventory shortages and discrepancies to the appropriate team members. E-Commerce & Online Sales Create and maintain product listings on eBay, Amazon, Shopify, and other approved online marketplaces. Research and identify security products suitable for online resale. Develop product listings with accurate descriptions, specifications, photographs, and pricing. Maintain an online catalog of stocked products and products available through authorized suppliers. Monitor competitive pricing and recommend adjustments to improve profitability. Process online orders, prepare shipments, and generate shipping labels. Maintain accurate product quantities across online sales platforms. Respond to customer questions regarding products, availability, compatibility, and order status. Process online returns and resolve fulfillment issues. Identify opportunities to sell excess, discontinued, and slow-moving inventory. Operational Support Coordinate with the Operations & Project Coordinator regarding parts needed for upcoming installation and service jobs. Ensure equipment is received, documented, and staged before scheduled work. Maintain accurate inventory information within Simpro. Support technicians with equipment availability and parts preparation. Assist with inventory, purchasing, and warehouse process improvements. Maintain communication with accounting regarding vendor returns, credits, and inventory discrepancies. Qualifications Required: Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, parts handling, shipping, or a related field. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
