Parts Manager

Scotia Hyundai is seeking an experienced and organized Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department in beautiful Amherst, Nova Scotia. Scotia Hyundai is part of the Allen Auto Group , which includes Amherst Chrysler, Scotia Hyundai, Amherst Nissan, Rod Allen’s, and Albion Tirecraft Auto Center Ltd. We are looking for someone who understands that a strong Parts Department is a critical part of a successful dealership. The right candidate will combine excellent inventory management, customer service, team leadership, and business awareness. The Role As Parts Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of the Parts Department. You will work closely with our Service Department, technicians, customers, suppliers, and management team to ensure the right parts are available at the right time while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and departmental profitability. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operation of the Parts Department Lead, train, support, and develop Parts Department employees Maintain appropriate inventory levels and parts availability Monitor inventory turnover, obsolescence, aging inventory, and special orders Ensure accurate receiving, stocking, invoicing, and parts documentation Support Service Advisors and Technicians with timely parts availability Provide excellent service to retail and internal customers Maintain effective relationships with vendors and manufacturer representatives Monitor departmental sales, gross profit, expenses, and key performance indicators Manage warranty parts returns and manufacturer processes Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient parts storage environment Conduct and support regular inventory counts Identify opportunities to increase parts sales and departmental profitability Ensure pricing and purchasing practices are consistent and accurate Work collaboratively with dealership management and other Allen Auto Group operations What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Previous automotive dealership parts experience Parts management or supervisory experience preferred Strong inventory management skills Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills Strong customer service and communication abilities The ability to lead and motivate a team An understanding of dealership service and parts operations Strong computer and dealership-management-system skills The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment A valid driver’s licence Hyundai dealership experience is an asset but is not required for a candidate with strong automotive parts experience.
