Parts Manager
Burnips EquipmentJoin our team at Burnips Equipment! We’re looking for a Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department and ensure top-notch service for our customers. This role is key to driving department performance, maintaining inventory control, and developing a motivated, knowledgeable team. What You’ll Do Lead and coach the Parts Department team to deliver excellent customer service — in person, over the phone, and through carry-out service. Oversee all parts personnel activities including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. Foster a clean, professional, and positive work environment. Ensure strong inventory management practices: Monitor stock orders, receiving accuracy, physical counts, and inventory turns. Manage freight recovery, intercompany transfers, restocking, vendor returns, and obsolete inventory. Manage department expenses, including employee overtime, while maximizing coverage and efficiency. Support customer inquiries by accurately identifying parts, providing pricing and delivery details, and following up to ensure satisfaction. Lead vendor programs and seasonal ordering initiatives with manufacturers like New Holland and Claas. Collaborate closely with Service and Sales Departments to ensure smooth operations across the dealership. Support corporate management initiatives and uphold company standards and policies. What You’ll Bring Proven leadership and supervisory experience. Strong understanding of inventory control and department operations. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Basic financial and computer literacy. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
