We are looking for an experienced and motivated Parts Manager to lead our parts department at a busy semi-truck repair shop. The Parts Manager will be responsible for managing daily parts operations, supporting our technicians and service team, controlling inventory, and working with vendors to ensure we have the right parts available when needed. Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the parts department Order heavy-duty truck and trailer parts from vendors Identify and source parts based on repair orders and technician needs Work closely with technicians, service writers, and management Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts Maintain accurate inventory and conduct regular inventory counts Monitor parts usage, pricing, margins, and availability Return incorrect, damaged, or unused parts to vendors Develop and maintain good relationships with parts suppliers Compare vendor pricing and negotiate when appropriate Make sure parts are available on time to avoid unnecessary repair delays Keep the parts department organized, clean, and efficient Train and supervise parts department employees Maintain accurate records and follow company procedures Help control parts costs and minimize unnecessary inventory Assist with local parts pickups and deliveries when needed Requirements: Previous experience as a Parts Manager, Parts Supervisor, or experienced Parts Specialist Heavy-duty truck, diesel, trailer, or automotive parts experience preferred Strong knowledge of semi-truck and trailer parts Ability to identify parts using VINs, part numbers, and catalogs Good computer skills and ability to learn parts/inventory software Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced repair environment Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license Ability to lift and move parts and supplies What We Are Looking For: We need someone who is hands-on, organized, dependable, and understands that the parts department is a critical part of keeping the shop moving .
