Twin Pine Ford is one of the largest volume and fastest growing Ford Dealerships in Pennsylvania. We are in the process of looking for a FT Parts Inventory Specialist to continue to develop and update inventory processes at the dealership. The chosen candidate will work on a day-to-day basis with the Parts Manager and the Service Manager and with all of the departments at Twin Pine Ford. JOB PURPOSE: The Parts Inventory specialist will work with both internal shop and other commercial businesses in ordering parts in a timely fashion so that repairs by technicians are not delayed. He/she understands the importance of turnover and maintains an appropriate balance of of fast/slow moving parts to enable desired turnover to be a reality. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Promote and maintain excellent customer service. - Establish financial and operational objectives and prepare monthly sales and gross profit forecasts. - Optimize performance of parts department by helping to use the following data: - Daily operational control - Inventory Management reports - Warranty reports - Lost Sales reports - Parts department section of Dealer Financial Statement - Maintain effective inventory control system: understand the specs that determine weekly stock orders, stocking levels, phase in/phase out parameters, and obsolescence. - Communicate effectively with Service and Sales departments about availability of parts and any critical backorder situations. - Follow up and expedite critical parts to insure customer satisfaction. - Help to develop and maintaining inventory systems for all parts including any specialty order parts while providing consistent customer follow up, and maintain a liaison with both manufacturers and vendors.. - Understand and follow parts policies and procedures for returns, parts warranties, etc. - Conduct perpetual inventory control. Assist with the annual physical inventory audit. - Work to maximize gross profit by effective ordering of parts to insure maximum parts return allowance. - Prepare stock orders and complete paperwork. - Return parts appropriately and within return guidelines - Work with Inventory/Parts personnel and service manager to develop merchandising and contact systems to promote sales to all markets and customers. - Handle web sales and provide info regarding parts procurement and shipment of orders. - Help to control departmental costs. - Help to implement standards of good housekeeping and insist on cleanliness and organization with the dept. Qualifications & Skills: · Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources. · Ability to monitor and adjust service systems as needed to optimize adviser and technician performance and efficiency. · Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and Hazmat. · Excellent communication, supervisory, and managerial skills. · Minimum of 1 year of experience in an automotive service and parts department. · Prior Ford/Dealership Experience preferred.
