Parts Driver
Elkins Chevrolet LLCJob Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team at Elkins Chevrolet. The ideal candidate will assist customers and technicians in selecting and purchasing automotive parts and accessories. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the service and repair departments by maintaining adequate inventory levels and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: Greet customers and respond to inquiries in a professional and friendly manner. Identify correct parts using parts catalogs and dealership systems. Process orders for internal service technicians and external retail customers. Maintain inventory accuracy by tracking incoming and outgoing parts. Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely delivery of parts for scheduled jobs. Assist with inventory control, stock replenishment, and ordering special parts when necessary. Handle returns, warranties, and core returns according to dealership and manufacturer policies. Maintain a clean and organized parts department and workspace. Stay up-to-date on new products, recalls, and service bulletins. Provide pricing quotes and advise on product features and benefits. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or technical degree is a plus). Previous experience as a parts advisor, automotive service writer, or in a similar automotive role preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and parts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with parts lookup and dealership management systems. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
