Parts Counter Associate Inventory Specialist Experienced Truck / Automotive Parts Professional

About the Role Milea Truck Sales is looking for an experienced Parts Counter Associate / Inventory Specialist to join our busy parts department. This is not an entry-level position. You will help walk-in customers at the counter, support our service department with the parts they need, and keep our inventory accurate. We need someone who already knows parts and knows trucks inside and out, can look up and cross-reference parts quickly, and can work with customers and technicians confidently from day one. Experience with Hino, Isuzu, and Volvo trucks is preferred. Experience Required: Please Read Before Applying Prior truck parts or auto parts counter experience is required. You must know all facets of trucks. That means you can: Identify and look up parts by application, VIN, and part number Cross-reference and recommend the right part the first time Understand how truck systems work and fit together: engine, transmission, drivetrain, axles, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, air systems, cooling, exhaust, and body components Tell customers and technicians exactly what they need, without hands-on training in the basics Manage parts inventory accurately, including receiving, stocking, cycle counts, and reordering Brand experience preferred: Hino, Isuzu, and Volvo. Responsibilities Parts Counter Help walk-in customers at the counter, finding the right part, quoting, and completing the sale Assist phone customers with part inquiries, quotes, and orders Sell parts and use your product knowledge to recommend the right solution Process sales and handle cash and payments accurately Service Department Support Must support the service department with parts: look up, pull, and deliver the right parts for technicians and repair orders quickly and accurately Work with service advisors and technicians to confirm part numbers, fitment, and availability Source and order special-order parts when something is not in stock, and keep the service department updated on delivery times Inventory Specialist Monitor stock levels and reorder parts to keep the right items on the shelf Receive, check, and put away incoming shipments Perform regular cycle counts and keep inventory records accurate in our system Handle returns, core parts, special orders, and back orders Spot slow-moving and obsolete stock and flag parts shortages early Keep the parts department clean, organized, and well stocked Qualifications Required: Proven truck parts or auto parts experience, with working knowledge of all facets of trucks Required: Ability to work with service technicians and advisors and get them the right parts Required: Strong inventory control skills (receiving, stocking, counts, reordering) Preferred: Hino, Isuzu, and Volvo parts experience Strong cash handling skills Excellent phone manner and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop Experience with CDK is a strong plus Familiarity with truck diagnostics is a plus (training provided) Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Clean, valid NYS driver’s license preferred Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Competitive hourly pay up to $30.00, based on experience Why Join Milea Truck Sales?
