Summary: This position will report to the Parts Manager. The purpose of this position is to inventory, organize, receive, and deploy parts daily, to meet the requirements and needs of Buckner HeavyLift Cranes and our customers. The Parts Associate is expected to work closely with all company personnel, support the operations team and Graham yard, as needed. Parts Associate Functions Parts Order Processing: All orders are expected to be acknowledged and processed in a timely manner Orders are sent via Go Canvas – must review and send reply to requester via email within 15 minutes of receipt Standard parts order should be fully processed and completed within 30 minutes More complex orders should be able to be processed within an hour and parts manager should be notified and or involved if assistance is needed completing the order in a timely manner Inventory Management: Overall knowledge and management of parts inventory Constant task of reviewing, removing and/or adding of inventory and parts stock Identifying, labeling, verifying accuracy, and overall daily management of parts inventory Navigating and efficiently working within company programs and vendor systems Request pricing/availability from vendor if parts are not in Buckner stock. Submit PO request in full detail for any parts needing to be ordered from vendor efficiently Provide vendor accurate order information, including parts information, in-hand date, address, contact, etc. Facilitate placing the order with the vendor - requester and all necessary parties to be copied on the order for visibility, and immediately notify group imperative tracking updates such as delays Complete internal shipping tracker in full detail once purchase has been made and shipped Shipping & Delivery: Confirm order is filled correctly, and verify all shipment details such as in-hand date, address, contact, etc. Facilitate order packing, ensure parts are shipped with adequate packing, and sufficient methods of securement have been applied Utilize and oversee various methods of shipment Coordinate and track shipments via standard UPS/FedEx shipping Coordinate, schedule, and track shipments via freight truck Schedule and track hotshot for critical and urgent shipments Schedule and track flight for critical and urgent shipments In some cases, the parts associate may need to drive the parts to a location. This position requires weekend availability, and will be expected to communicate with the Parts Manager in advance if personal engagements are made Standard Operating Procedure & General Functions: Fully utilize Buckner’s operating systems and processes Work well in both a team and autonomous environment Understand and comply with all Buckner Safety Policies as well as OSHA regulations Operate both indoors and outdoors within the parts BOH, warehouse, yard and shop environment Efficiently use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
