Parts Advisor

Sands Auto Group – Parts Department Sands Auto Group is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Parts Advisor with prior experience in automotive parts operations. This role is ideal for someone who understands parts cataloging, inventory flow, and dealership or shop processes — and is ready to bring their expertise to a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. If you have strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and enjoy working with numbers, customers, and internal departments, you will thrive here. Saturdays will be required on a rotating schedule. Key Responsibilities Greet customers in person and over the phone, assisting them in locating the correct parts and providing product knowledge Submit orders for required parts, receive shipments, and stock inventory accurately Support repair technicians by distributing parts efficiently and ensuring correct parts are pulled for each job Participate in receiving, documenting, and organizing incoming parts shipments Prepare outgoing orders for customers and maintain accurate inventory records Calculate sales totals, including discounts, store credits, and promotions Maintain a clean, organized parts area and uphold dealership standards Communicate professionally with customers, technicians, and vendors Assist with general parts department workflow as needed What We’re Looking For Prior experience in an automotive parts department or parts retail environment Strong mechanical understanding and familiarity with automotive components Excellent communication and customer‑service skills Ability to work well with technicians, service advisors, and other departments Comfortable using computers, parts catalog systems, and inventory software Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment Why Join Our Team Established dealership with steady workflow Supportive team of experienced parts professionals Opportunities for long‑term growth within the dealership Competitive pay and benefits Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
