Overview Join our dynamic team as a Parts Advisor specializing in back counter operations for heavy diesel equipment. In this vital role, you will be the frontline expert in managing parts inventory, assisting technicians and customers with their heavy diesel component needs, and ensuring seamless procurement processes. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by accurately identifying parts requirements for heavy diesel equipment and guiding customers through available options. Manage back counter parts inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained through effective procurement and sourcing strategies. Use Fullbay operating systems to enter data, track parts orders, and update inventory records efficiently. Source high-quality parts, negotiate prices, and establish reliable supplier relationships to optimize supply chain operations. Support forklift operation when necessary for inventory movement, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Maintain accurate documentation of all transactions, including data entry of purchase orders, invoices, and inventory adjustments. Conduct cycle counts, inventory recommendations, picking, packing, and shipping duties. Perform parts runs, pick ups and deliveries as needed. Requirements Proven dealership experience or background working within heavy diesel environments. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy diesel engines, highway and/or off-road equipment Experience with procurement, sourcing, negotiation, and supply chain management practices. Proficiency in data entry and computer proficiency is a must. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with technicians, suppliers, and customers. Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently. Knowledge of all make and model diesels is highly desirable. Apprenticeship or journeyman certification is a bonus. Class 5 driver's license or better is highly desirable.
