Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves commercial truck driving with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and ensuring safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have outdoor work experience, a solid understanding of traffic laws, and mechanical knowledge to handle routine vehicle maintenance or minor repairs. Duties Operate commercial trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, to transport goods along designated routes. Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and traffic laws during every trip. Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining professionalism and clear communication with clients upon delivery. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning. Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules and optimizing delivery times. Perform basic mechanical checks and report any vehicle issues requiring maintenance or repair. Follow safety protocols at all times, especially during outdoor work activities in various weather conditions. Experience Prior experience in commercial truck driving is preferred, with a strong understanding of route navigation and traffic laws. Outdoor work experience is beneficial, demonstrating adaptability to different environments and weather conditions. Knowledge of DOT regulations is essential for ensuring legal compliance during operations. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and team members. Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle inspections and troubleshooting minor issues is advantageous.
