Part-Time Route Driver (Food Scrap Collection)

About Scrap Daddy Composting Scrap Daddy Composting is a Charlotte-based food scrap collection and composting company serving residential and commercial clients, including households, hospitals, offices, restaurants, and event venues. We’re a growing local company looking for a dependable route driver to join our team. Responsibilities Operate company vehicles on residential and commercial collection routes Collect and exchange buckets and bins at each stop Inspect containers for contamination and document issues according to company guidelines Transport collected material to our commercial composting partner Accurately record stop activity Represent the company professionally during occasional interactions with customers Schedule Routes typically run on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Availability on these days is required. Shifts last 3–6 hours. Qualifications Minimum age of 21 Valid North Carolina driver’s license (CDL not required) 2–3 years of driving experience Clean driving record: no DUI or reckless driving violations in the past 5 years, and no more than 2 moving violations or 1 at-fault accident in the past 3 years. A motor vehicle record check will be conducted. Ability to repeatedly lift 30 lbs overhead and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Smartphone with the ability to use mobile apps Dependable, self-directed, and able to follow established procedures independently Preferred Qualifications Prior delivery or route driving experience Benefits Paid training provided by the owner Independent outdoor work Flexible route completion window Opportunity to contribute to a local company with an environmental mission Potential for additional hours and advancement to a lead driver role as the company grows How to Apply Please apply through Indeed.
