HIRING CDL CLASS A DRIVER FOR ON CALL WORK MUST BE ABLE TO GO FROM USA INTO CANADA SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER WITH OPPORTUNITY COMPETITIVE PAY FAST PACE Qualifications Must pass drug screen Must pass background check Can lift 100 lbs Must be at least 21+ years old 2+ years Class A CDL Experience Valid Class A drivers license Ability to pass MVR report Have or can obtain DOT medical card Wage for this position is depending on experience. Duties include: taking precautions to protect product and customer property. Ensures load is not overweight limits and adheres to DOT regulations. Required to use a hand-held device, except while driving, to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS. Verifies order details and maintain log of deliveries, including amounts and/or weights, mileage and locations of deliveries. Check items against invoice to ensure accuracy of order. Handles concerns and helps to resolve issues as they arise. Maintains service logs and pre/post trip inspection procedures. We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license Work Remotely No Job Types: Temporary, Full-time Pay: Up to $3,000.00 per week Experience: Commercial Driving: 2 years (Preferred) Driving: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: CDL A (Required) Work Location: In person
