Sage HausTitle: Part-time House Manager with Meal Prep Support Location: Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 Employment Type: Part-time | 18–23 hours per week Schedule: 3–4 days per week Shifts starting after 9:00 AM and ending before 3:00 PM Flexible on which days and specific shift times within these parameters Compensation: 32–37 per hour, commensurate with experience Start Date: ASAP Requirements Reliable transportation with clean driving record Candidates are required to be up to date on recommended vaccinations in line with American Academy of Pediatrics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines (including Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis A/B, COVID-19, and annual influenza), subject to applicable legal accommodations. CPR and First Aid certified, or willingness to obtain upon employment Ability to navigate multiple flights of stairs throughout the day as a regular part of the role and lift up to 40 lbs for limited periods of time Maintain a smoke-free environment Must be authorized to work in the United States About Our Family We're a busy family with two energetic boys who keep life moving at full speed. Between school drop-offs at two different campuses, tackle football and soccer practices, and two parents with demanding careers, our evenings have a way of slipping through our fingers before we've had a chance to just be with our kids and enjoy our time together as a family. We rely on each other and on nearby family when we can, but we are ready to find meaningful support to lift some of the load and give us the gift of time back. We're easygoing, genuinely open to new ideas, and not looking to micromanage anyone. What we are looking for is someone who understands what a household with two rambunctious boys actually looks and feels like, and who notices the seemingly small details that can create calm amidst the chaos and make things run a little smoother so our evenings can belong to us again. Who You Are / What We're Looking For The right person for this role will: Anticipate the next household need and take initiative without a to‑do list Stay organized, proactive, and take pride in keeping a household running smoothly Understand and adapt to a household with two boys, who just like to “be boys” Accept feedback well and contribute ideas to improve how things run Speak up confidently with proactive suggestions before being asked Balance building relationships and communication when it matters with working independently the majority of the time Take a systematic approach to managing the flow of the household (e.g. meal prep and inventory management) to stay ahead of day-to-day needs Key Responsibilities Meal Support Prepare 3–5 dinners per week, ranging from ingredient prep and partial execution to full meal preparation depending on the evening's schedule (e.g. slow cooker or low effort for sports nights) Process and prep produce for school lunches and required school snacks; ensure sandwich staples and healthy items are stocked and ready to go Batch prep healthy breakfast and snack options (muffins, protein balls, cut fruit, etc.) to reduce reliance on processed foods and make mornings easier Batch prepare proteins and other lunch options for parents to pack throughout the week As trust builds, take a more active role in weekly meal planning Maintain a tidy, organized kitchen at all times Inventory & Errands Manage pantry and household supply inventory: monitor and proactively restock items running low, prevent overbuying unnecessary items, and replenish household goods throughout the home Maintain a shared running shopping list and execute in-person grocery shopping, including Costco runs Handle Amazon returns, dry cleaning drop-off, and other miscellaneous errands (teacher gifts, etc.) as requested Bring in mail and packages; break down and recycle boxes Household Organization & Maintenance Perform daily resets and tidying of high-traffic areas: load and unload dishes, wipe surfaces, and vacuum h…
