Part-Time Diesel / Fleet Mechanic – Motor Coaches, Mini Buses & Vans

Pay: $32.00 – $37.00 per hour, based on experience Job type: Part-time only, about 20–29 hours per week Schedule: Weekday shop hours (weekday availability is required); occasional weekends as needed Victory Ground runs charter motor coaches, mini buses, Sprinters, and SUVs around Nashville. We're looking for a part-time fleet mechanic who can actually diagnose problems, not just change oil, and keep our coaches road-ready. Prevost and Volvo experience is a big plus. What you'll do - Diagnose and repair diesel and gas systems: engine, electrical, brakes, and HVAC/AC - Perform preventive maintenance, including 90-day and annual inspections - Repair driver-reported defects and fully close out work orders in Samsara - Keep your bay organized and follow shop safety rules Required - 5+ years of paid mechanic experience (fleet, diesel, or heavy vehicle) - Real diagnostic, electrical, and A/C skills - Your own hand tools (specialty shop tools provided) - Available on weekdays - Reliable attendance and a stable work history - Able to pass a drug screen and background check Preferred - Volvo or Prevost coaches - Motor coach or mini-bus inspection experience - Samsara or similar fleet-maintenance software - ASE or OEM certifications When you apply, list the equipment and brands you've actually worked on.
