Part Time Delivery Helper

Overview We are looking for a reliable, hard working, part-time helper to assist with deliveries and pickups for our event rental business. *Must be available on Mondays, Friday’s and occasional Saturdays. * If you are not available on Mondays or Fridays please do not apply for this position. This is not a full time position. If you are looking for full time, please do not apply to this position. Must wear Event Works & Decor shirt and be respectful and polite to customers. *This position is responsible for helping our driver. This person will ride in the boxtruck and assist with the deliveries. **An ideal fit for this position would be a high-school student looking for OJT or a high school graduate or college student looking for a part time position** Job Description load and unload the boxtruck Lift up to 60 lbs and push a heavy dolly Show up on time. Start time 7-8AM Keep boxtruck clean Wipe down tables/chairs/letters before they go out. Must be able to work outside in the heat Communicate the delivery ETA with customer Count inventory at every pickup Must pass a background check. No smoking on the job A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box trucks is advantageous Experience with material handling equipment is beneficial Strong understanding of adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication Reliable transportation, including personal vehicle delivery options if applicable Must have transportation to and from our warehouse in Winter Haven, FL Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week Work Location: In person
