Job Summary We need someone to handle the packing and shipping side of our warehouse operations, making sure orders get prepared, labeled, and out the door on time. You'll spend most of your day pulling boxes, wrapping items, weighing shipments, and logging them into our system. It's a hands-on role where you're on your feet for the bulk of the shift, moving between the staging area and the dock. The pace picks up around mid-morning when a delivery truck usually lands, so staying organized helps you keep up without rushing. We'll walk you through our labeling software in your first week, nothing complicated. You don't need a background in logistics, just a steady pair of hands and the kind of common sense that tells you a crate's about to tip if you lean on it. Responsibilities Gather and sort boxes from the staging racks each morning Applying the right carrier label to each package before it hits the scale, double-checking the address against the order sheet Tape, wrap, and pad items so they arrive intact Logging shipment weights and tracking numbers in the system Balancing out at the end of the day - wipe down your workspace, roll up empty boxes, and make sure the dock is clear for the next crew Answering quick questions from the dispatch line when it rings during shifts Light restocking of tape, bubble wrap, and labels from the supply closet Reporting any damaged or short packages to your supervisor before they go out Qualifications You keep track of small details that others might miss, especially when the shipping queue piles up mid-morning. A short line on a label is enough to mess up a whole delivery, so you slow down to read addresses twice before you print. Comfort moving between typing into a screen and hauling boxes across the floor, you don't mind switching between desk work and physical tasks in the same hour. You show up when you're scheduled, come in a few minutes early to settle in, and let the rest of the crew count on you being there. When the dock gets crowded and two trucks arrive close together, you stay level-headed and work through the backlog without dropping the ball. Talking to customers over the phone or at the counter comes naturally, you keep it brief, friendly, and to the point. You learn new procedures quickly and don't get frustrated repeating the same task day after day, you've got a steady, positive attitude even when the line is long.
