Join our team and play an important role in carefully preparing and shipping items to customers and auction buyers. Job Description We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Packer/Shipper to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to safely pack, prepare, and ship a variety of household goods, antiques, collectibles, and other items purchased through our online auctions. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, handles items carefully, and can work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Responsibilities Carefully pack and prepare items for shipment to customers and auction buyers. Select appropriate boxes, packing materials, and protective packaging based on the size and type of item. Safely wrap fragile, delicate, and valuable items to prevent damage during transit. Label packages accurately and prepare shipments for pickup or delivery. Process and organize outgoing orders in a timely manner. Inspect items before packing to ensure they are properly identified and ready for shipment. Maintain an organized and clean packing and shipping area. Handle inventory and packed items carefully to prevent loss or damage. Assist with receiving, organizing, and moving items as needed. Follow established packing, handling, and shipping procedures. Communicate any damaged, missing, or unusual items to management. Work as part of a team to meet daily shipping and packing goals. Requirements Previous experience in packing, shipping, warehouse, fulfillment, retail, or a related field is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to safely pack fragile and valuable items. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Reliable, dependable, and punctual. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical ability to lift, carry, and move boxes and items as needed. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work on your feet for extended periods. Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional weekends. High school diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications Experience with shipping platforms such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, or similar. Previous warehouse, fulfillment, or e-commerce shipping experience. Familiarity with online auction platforms; CTBIDS experience is a plus. Experience safely packing antiques, collectibles, glassware, artwork, or other fragile items. Interest in antiques, collectibles, vintage items, or household goods.
