At HMC, our Over the Road (OTR) operators are essential to our mission—ensuring mixer barrels, parts, and equipment are transported safely and efficiently, while retrieving units from locations across the country and returning them to HMC. Your Mission & Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a road tractor and trailer to transport mixer barrels, parts, equipment, and complete units to and from locations across the country. Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance. Plan routes, follow delivery schedules, and communicate proactively with team members. Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading, verifying delivery instructions, and ensuring accuracy. Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly. Keep your truck clean and well-maintained, performing minor repairs as needed. Represent HMC with professionalism and a commitment to exceptional service on every job. What Sets You Apart: Valid Class A CDL and a proven record of safe driving. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service. Excellent vision, hand-eye coordination, and physical fitness to perform all driving and maintenance tasks. Effective communication skills for working with dispatchers, coworkers, and customers. Reliable, organized, and able to manage time to meet delivery schedules. Positive, “go-getter” mindset with a willingness to learn and grow. Willingness to undergo HMC’s pre-employment screenings. Experience in over the road trucking is helpful, but a strong work ethic and eagerness to serve are most important.
