Crown Haul TruckingOverview Join our dynamic team as an Over-the-Road (OTR) CDL Driver and take the wheel of our state-of-the-art tractor-trailers to deliver freight across long-distance routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate various types of commercial trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment, ensuring timely and safe deliveries nationwide. As an OTR Driver, you'll be the backbone of our logistics operation, navigating complex routes while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers across long-distance routes, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and hazardous materials transport. Plan and follow optimal routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with hours-of-service regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any unforeseen issues during transit. Handle hazardous materials according to hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols when transporting dangerous goods. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially over the road (OTR) routes with a focus on logistics cargo handling. Proficiency in operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Skilled in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during trips. Ability to load & unload freight safely using manual handling techniques or forklifts when necessary. Experience with truck loading and unloading procedures for various types of freight including hazardous goods and temperature-sensitive cargo. Excellent driving skills with a clean CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), including manual transmission operation if required.
