Duties Safely operate a 26ft box truck adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices. Manage delivery routes efficiently, utilizing mobile devices for navigation and communication to meet delivery schedules. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with commercial trucking standards. Load, secure, and unload goods accurately, maintaining proper weight distribution and adhering to weight handling guidelines. Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods directly to clients’ locations while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and vehicle maintenance reports as required by DOT regulations. Skills Proven experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving, or courier services with a focus on heavy lifting and manual handling. Strong knowledge of commercial truck driving, route planning, and adherence to traffic regulations. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via mobile devices or in person. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following workplace safety standards for weight handling. Familiarity with warehouse operations including moving goods within storage facilities using appropriate equipment.
