Operations Manager

Duties Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, employee orientation, and ongoing development to build a motivated team. Oversee store operations including inventory management, stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize sales potential. Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions such as cashiering, cash handling, pricing adjustments, and sales processing with accuracy. Coordinate shift management ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Conduct interviewing sessions for prospective employees and participate actively in recruiting efforts to attract top talent. Implement operational policies related to payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and store financials to ensure fiscal responsibility. Monitor inventory control measures to prevent shrinkage and optimize stock levels; oversee stock stocking procedures and inventory audits. Foster a team-oriented environment through effective managerial communication, leadership in sales management, and training & development initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and phone etiquette standards while maintaining organizational skills across all store functions. Qualifications Proven experience in retail store management or operations management with supervisory or managerial roles. Strong background in retail sales, retail industry best practices, and team management skills. Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, purchasing, inventory management, and POS systems operation. Experience with employee orientation, interviewing techniques, recruiting processes, payroll administration, bookkeeping, and budgeting. Excellent communication skills in both bilingual or multilingual settings; ability to lead teams effectively through managerial communication. Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, cash handling procedures, and operational metrics. Familiarity with grocery store or similar retail environments is preferred; experience with shift management and customer service excellence is essential. Strong organizational skills combined with time management capabilities to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
