Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead our established Generac dealership through its next phase of growth. This role offers the opportunity to oversee daily operations, manage a dedicated team of field technicians, and drive both residential and commercial sales. As a key leader under new ownership, you will be responsible for managing the profit and loss (P&L), implementing systems, and expanding our customer base. You will have the opportunity to work with the new ownership group to develop and grow the business. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for building a successful branch in a competitive market. Duties Oversee day-to-day operations including scheduling, dispatching, inventory management, and job costing to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction. Lead, motivate and grow a team of field technicians to deliver high-quality service and installations. Establish and lead a dedicated sales team. Drive sales efforts for residential installations as well as commercial accounts by developing strategic marketing initiatives and building relationships with clients. Manage the P&L to meet financial goals, monitor expenses, and optimize profitability. Implement and refine operational systems to improve workflow, safety, and service delivery. Collaborate with the owner group to align branch objectives with overall company strategy while exercising significant latitude in decision-making. Invest in staff development through training programs to enhance technical skills and customer service capabilities. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience in managing operations within a service or installation-based business, preferably in the energy or home improvement sectors. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of technicians and staff. Excellent organizational skills with experience managing scheduling, dispatching, inventory, and job costing processes. Demonstrated ability to manage P&L statements and drive sales growth through strategic planning. Exceptional communication skills for building relationships with customers, vendors, and team members. Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently while collaborating effectively with ownership and other stakeholders. Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards relevant to field operations is preferred.
