Operations Lead

As part of the management team, the Operations Lead will be responsible for assisting the shift supervisor in managing the warehouse associates and workload, make tangible contribution to the advancement of organization goals and practices and ensuring that members of staff adhere to it for successful implantation.  Performs all job duties of the department. Strives to improve organizational effectiveness by showing exemplary leadership

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:

• Effectively perform all job duties of department meeting all set goals and standards 
• Informs supervisor of any unsafe or hazardous working conditions 

• Facilitate interactions between the internal team and the hosted platforms for the overall success of the organization
• Ensure that members of staff adhere to the specifications in the course of production to guarantee client satisfaction
• Create the procedures and the specifications to follow for the execution of projects in the organization, and specify product requirements for operational success
• Assign tasks to associates in such a way that the more pressing tasks are completed first
• Mentor associates, identify lapses, and conduct training on the job to equip staff with knowledge of developing trends in order to build a highly skilled department

• Assists associates in training of proper methods and techniques to enhance individuals’ productivity and accuracy 

• Ensure that members of the operations team adhere to company rules and work ethics
• Coordinate transactional operations and monitor ongoing business processes in the organization.

• Assists in training new hires 
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment 
• Assist in maintaining the security for the warehouse 
• Conduct work assignments in a manner which promotes safety 
• Perform job duties according to set goals and metrics 
• May assist in reporting and investigating all work-related injuries 
• Other duties may be assigned to accomplish company or department objectives. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• 2+ years of related experience as a lead in a warehouse or distribution center environment 
• 2+ years of experience in inventory control
• High School Diploma

Other Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to meet departmental expectations to effectively drive results Computer literate (Microsoft Office products) Ability to meet deadlines. 
• Great people and communication skills. 
• Ability to use computer software to generate reports as needed 
• Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds 
• Operating in a collaborative environment 
• Certified forklift driver preferred
