We are looking for an Operations Coordinator who wants to learn freight forwarding, take ownership of their work, and build a career with our company. This role requires strong organization, clear communication, and consistent follow-through. You will coordinate shipment documentation, track orders, communicate with clients and vendors, and help keep daily operations moving. We will invest time in teaching you the business. We expect you to invest effort in learning it. What We Expect Take ownership. Know what needs to be done, follow through, and keep people informed. If something cannot be completed on time, communicate early and arrange a clear handoff. Unfinished work should never become someone else’s surprise. Ask questions. We do not expect you to know everything. We do expect you to speak up when you are unsure, take notes, and apply what you learn. Be accountable. Mistakes happen, especially when learning. Own them, help correct them, and take steps to prevent them from happening again. Repeated mistakes without improvement are a concern. Manage your priorities. Freight forwarding involves deadlines, changing information, and multiple shipments moving at once. You need to stay organized, follow up consistently, and recognize when something needs immediate attention. Communicate directly and professionally. Answer the phone, respond to emails, and make sure the people relying on you have accurate information. If you see a problem, raise it. Earn greater responsibility. Advancement comes from demonstrated ability, sound judgment, and consistent performance. Everyone is held to the same standards. As your contribution and responsibilities grow, we believe your compensation should grow with them. We value people who are approachable, work well with others, and can accept feedback without becoming defensive. We take the work seriously and enjoy working together. Responsibilities and Duties Prepare, organize, and coordinate transportation and shipment documentation. Obtain tracking updates and communicate shipment status to staff and clients. Follow up with vendors, carriers, warehouses, drivers, and clients to meet documentation and shipment deadlines. Maintain accurate daily records of shipment activity, milestones, and outstanding items. Identify missing information, delays, and other issues, and bring them to the appropriate person promptly. Manage a high volume of daily email correspondence, often 100 or more short operational emails. Answer incoming calls, assist callers, and direct calls appropriately. Complete data entry, filing, scanning, and other administrative tasks accurately. Keep shipment files current and ensure outstanding work is completed or clearly handed off. Required Qualifications At least two years of office experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong time management, organization, and follow-up skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and PDF documents. Confident computer navigation and the ability to work across multiple applications. Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute with accuracy. Ability to handle a busy workload while maintaining attention to detail. Willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and learn new processes. Growth at Freight Sense We want team members who are interested in becoming more capable and taking on greater responsibility over time. You do not need to arrive knowing everything. You do need to be reliable, curious, and willing to put what you learn into practice. Career growth requires more than time in the role—it requires progress in how you perform it. We believe developing our people is part of growing the company. Interview Process The interview includes a practical computer skills assessment covering typing, navigation, and common office tasks. Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress On-site parking Application question(s): What stood out to you abo…
