City Fish MarketOffice & Shipping ManagerAbout the Role City Fish is looking for a dependable, organized, and hands-on Office & Shipping Manager to help keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly. This position has two main areas of responsibility: running the office and owning our daily shipping operation. We need someone who can keep things organized, take care of customers and the team, solve problems as they come up, and make sure our shipments get out the door accurately and on time every day. On the office side, you'll handle customer requests, keep track of inventory and supplies, place orders for materials, work with vendors, and generally make sure the office has what it needs to operate. You'll also be a go-to person for the guys in the shop when they need help getting something taken care of. On the shipping side, you'll take ownership of the entire daily shipping process. You'll organize outgoing orders, prepare labels and paperwork, coordinate with carriers, troubleshoot problems, and—most importantly—make sure everything that needs to ship that day gets out the door. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes being busy, takes ownership of their work, and enjoys being the person people can count on to get things done. What You’ll Do Own the daily shipping operation and make sure orders get out the door accurately and on time Organize outgoing shipments and prepare shipping labels, paperwork, and required documentation Coordinate with shipping carriers and troubleshoot delayed, missing, damaged, or incorrect shipments Manage the day-to-day operation of the office and keep things organized and running smoothly Keep track of inventory and order office supplies, shipping materials, and other items needed by the team Answer phones, emails, and customer requests in a friendly and professional manner Help customers with questions, orders, shipping issues, and other requests Support the shop team and help solve day-to-day problems as they come up Receive incoming deliveries and make sure products and materials get where they need to go Work with vendors and suppliers to order materials and resolve issues Maintain organized records and general office paperwork Assist with invoicing, bookkeeping, or QuickBooks as needed Look for ways to make our office and shipping processes more organized and efficient What We’re Looking For We care about finding the right person more than checking every box. Ideally, you have experience in office management, shipping, logistics, seafood, food distribution, or another fast-moving, hands-on operation. Experience working in the seafood industry would be a strong plus. Someone who already understands seafood operations, products, customers, shipping requirements, and the pace of the industry should be able to get up to speed quickly. Experience in food distribution, wholesale, warehousing, or a similar environment is also valuable. You should be: Highly organized and good at keeping track of details Reliable and comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities Able to prioritize when several things need attention at once Comfortable working with customers, vendors, delivery drivers, and coworkers Good at solving problems without needing someone to tell you every next step Comfortable with computers, email, spreadsheets, and general office software Familiar with QuickBooks or similar software, or willing to learn Willing to pitch in and help wherever needed The Kind of Person Who Will Do Well Here This isn't a job where you'll sit at a desk and do the exact same thing every day.
