Office/Shipping Assistant

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Office/Shipping Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and efficient shipping logistics. Duties Manage shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and RF scanners Prepare and package orders accurately for shipment, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and customer specifications Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400, and inventory management software to track stock levels and update records Conduct inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to maintain optimal stock levels Operate forklifts safely for moving pallets and managing warehouse distribution tasks Perform data entry tasks related to order processing, shipment documentation, and inventory updates with precision using Microsoft Office tools Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries while adhering to shipping & receiving protocols Experience Prior experience working in warehouse operations or logistics environments is highly preferred Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP is advantageous Hands-on experience with shipping logistics, order picking & packing, and using RF scanners or pallet jacks Basic math skills for inventory calculations, order accuracy, and shipment documentation Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance practices is a plus Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely; forklift certification is a bonus This position offers a vibrant work environment where your organizational skills and attention to detail will directly impact our operational success.
