Duties Safely operate passenger vehicles or specialized medical transport vehicles to their scheduled appointments Assist clients with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and respectful customer service at all times Ensure compliance with all state transportation regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during every trip Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine checks on brakes, tires, lights, and other essential systems to ensure optimal safety and performance Communicate effectively with clients regarding pick-up times, routes, and any delays or changes in schedule Use GPS navigation systems to follow designated routes efficiently while adapting to real-time traffic conditions Handle manual lifting of mobility aids or personal belongings when assisting clients with special needs or physical limitations Qualifications Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Must have a reliable, clean, and well-maintained personal vehicle that meets company requirements. Must maintain appropriate vehicle insurance for the transportation services provided. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local routes to ensure safe and efficient transportation. Knowledge of traffic laws, passenger safety, and applicable transportation regulations. Ability to assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle and perform light physical assistance when needed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members. Excellent customer service skills, with a courteous, patient, and professional attitude. Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to passenger safety and on-time pickups. Previous experience in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) or paratransit is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to qualified candidates. Must successfully complete applicable background checks and meet all required driver qualifications.
