Non-CDL STRAIGHT TRUCK DELIVERY DRIVER

Duties Safely operate a box truck or van to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security. Assist with warehouse operations by manually handling materials, organizing inventory, and supporting moving activities when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction. Use mobile devices or delivery apps to navigate routes efficiently, update delivery statuses, and communicate with dispatch teams. Maintain accurate delivery logs, complete shift reports, and document any incidents or delays promptly. Requirements Valid driver’s license suitable for operating a non-CDL commercial vehicle (such as a box truck or van). Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier services with a focus on route driving and heavy lifting. Warehouse experience preferred, including familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling equipment like pallet jacks. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently while adhering to workplace weight handling standards. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and safety standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Comfortable working with mobile devices for route navigation and delivery updates. Physical ability to lift heavy packages regularly and perform manual tasks involved in loading/unloading cargo.
