Contract opportunities are available immediately for qualified drivers! Service Area: Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Southern New Hampshire Equipment: 26-foot box truck Location: South Windsor, CT, and surrounding areas Work Availability: Immediate opportunities for qualified contractors Two-Person Delivery Team This is a two-person delivery operation. Drivers are not expected to complete deliveries alone. Each route includes a dedicated Delivery Helper who assists with loading, unloading, and handling freight at customer locations. Important Physical Requirement: Drivers must be physically capable of lifting and carrying 50–75 pounds as needed during loading, unloading, and delivery operations. The Delivery Helper provides assistance, but drivers must still be able to meet the physical demands of the position safely. Requirements Valid driver's license; CDL is not required. Current DOT medical card. Clean and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). At least 1 year of truck-driving experience required; 26-foot box truck experience strongly preferred. Ability to safely operate a 26-foot commercial box truck. Ability to lift and carry 50–75 pounds as required. Ability to safely perform physical delivery duties, including handling freight. Reliable, responsible, and professional attitude. Strong communication skills. Comfortable using GPS, navigation apps, smartphones, and electronic delivery systems. Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person delivery team. Ability to meet scheduled pickup and delivery times. Availability for early-morning starts and route-dependent schedules. Responsibilities Safely operate a 26-foot box truck. Pick up and deliver windows, doors, cabinets, and other freight. Work alongside the dedicated Delivery Helper during loading, unloading, and deliveries. Lift, carry, and handle freight weighing 50–75 pounds as needed. Properly secure and protect freight during transportation. Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and proof of delivery. Provide professional customer service at delivery locations. Communicate with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and delivery issues. Use smartphone or in-cab GPS and navigation systems. Follow applicable DOT requirements and transportation safety procedures. Independent Contractor Details 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Weekly settlements for completed work, according to the company's payment terms. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes.
