Moving day is one of the most stressful days of someone's life. We hire people who make it one of the best. Flint Hills Moving is a local moving company in Manhattan, KS. We move families across locally, across the state, and even across the country. Most of our customers are tired, stressed, and trusting strangers with everything they own. Our job is to earn that trust and then go further than they expect. Who we are We are a customer service first company. The idea is simple: carrying boxes gets the move done, and how people feel when you leave is what they remember. No two days are the same. One day it's a K-State office across campus, the next it's a family home to a new part of the sta New homes, new people and new problems to solve every day. We take care of our people. You're not a number here. We'll train you, coach you, promote from within, and have your back on the hard days. The way we treat you is the way we expect you to treat our customers. What you'll do Greet customers by name, explain the plan, and keep them informed all day Protect their home and belongings: pad furniture, wrap floors and door frames, handle heirlooms like they're your own Load trucks to our standard so everything arrives the way it left Disassemble and reassemble furniture, carry heavy items up and down stairs, work as a crew Notice the small things, like a stressed parent, a kid's favorite toy, or a spouse moving alone while their soldier is away, and do something about it Leave every customer calmer than you found them What we're looking for Character first: You like helping people, and it shows You show up on time, every time You take coaching well and want to get better You stay friendly when it's 98 degrees and the third-floor walk-up has no elevator The physical part: Repeatedly lift and carry 50+ lbs, often up and down stairs, for a full shift Work outdoors in Kansas heat and cold Peak season (May–September) means long days No moving experience required. We'll teach you to move. We can't teach you to care.
