Pay and earning potential Base pay: $27–$35 per hour, plus commission and tips. Typical total earnings are $200–$400 per person per working day. Some longer days can reach $500–$600. Daily totals vary with job length, commission, and tips. These figures are not guaranteed daily minimums, and a short job pays differently from a full day. Workdays and weekly hours vary. What you will do Carry household goods, wrap and protect furniture, load and stack safely, unload, and work as part of a moving crew. Drive 15–26-foot box trucks safely and help keep crews organized and following company procedures. Complete paperwork, accurately record payments, protect customer property, and promptly report damage, missing money, or other problems. Explain charges that properly apply under the customer’s agreement. Commission includes accurately adding authorized fees, explaining them, and calmly handling routine concerns. Escalate unresolved disputes or unsafe situations to management. A realistic look at the schedule Some days run smoothly; others involve delays, breakdowns, rescheduled jobs, or upset customers. You must stay calm and dependable through both. Schedules can include weekends, five consecutive working days, or only a few days in a week. We aim to have crews back around 5 p.m., but some days run later. Our 8 p.m. fieldwork cutoff does not guarantee an 8 p.m. arrival home. Occasional overnight Florida assignments are part of the role. We cover hotel and gas, pay driving time both ways and working time, and pay the job’s commission. Meals and per diem are not covered. What we expect Arrive on time, communicate delays, acknowledge instructions, and respond promptly to management when safe. While driving or carrying a load, reach a safe stopping point first. Follow lawful field instructions. For example, management may direct you to stop at a safe, permitted location before pickup and wait, or safely pause mid-move, secure and lock the truck, and wait for further instructions. Handle uncomfortable customer conversations respectfully. Do not make personal side deals, waive authorized charges, promise free extra work, or independently change delivery arrangements. Maintain honesty, respect, and consistency. No-shows, dishonesty, side deals, and deliberately ignoring lawful procedures can end the working relationship. Requirements At least 21 years old and a valid driver’s license. Prior moving experience and experience leading or managing a crew. Ability to perform the physical duties of moving and work safely with a team. Reliable transportation to our Tampa meeting location and flexibility for changing schedules, weekends, and overnight assignments. Ability to meet company driving and background-screening requirements. We teach our company’s procedures. Bring moving experience, sound judgmen…
