Job Summary MMM Raleigh is seeking reliable, hardworking Movers to join our growing team serving the Youngsville, Raleigh, Wake Forest, and surrounding areas. This position involves both local residential and commercial moves as well as occasional long-distance and overnight moves throughout North Carolina and across state lines. Our movers are responsible for safely packing, loading, transporting, and unloading customers' belongings while providing professional and respectful customer service. This is a physically demanding position that is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with a team, staying active, and working in a different environment every day. Moving experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train dependable employees who have a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Responsibilities Safely load and unload household goods, furniture, boxes, appliances, and other customer belongings Properly wrap and protect furniture using moving blankets, stretch wrap, cardboard, and other protective materials Safely move heavier or specialty items including safes, pianos, large furniture, and appliances when required Use moving equipment including hand trucks, shoulder dollies, ratchet straps, tie-downs, ramps, and moving pads Properly secure loads inside moving trucks to prevent shifting or damage during transportation Assist with packing services when scheduled Protect customers' homes using floor runners, door-jamb protectors, and other protective materials Maintain a clean and organized moving truck, including blankets, straps, tools, and moving equipment Follow instructions from Crew Leaders and work effectively as part of a moving crew Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers and coworkers Maintain company dress code and professional appearance while on jobs Arrive to work on time and prepared for scheduled jobs Be available for local moves as well as occasional long-distance, multi-day, or overnight moves Help keep trucks, equipment, and company property clean and in good working condition Requirements Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 80+ pounds Ability to safely carry furniture and boxes up and down stairs Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and perform physical work for extended periods Reliable transportation to and from our Youngsville/Raleigh-area location Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work well as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to communicate professionally with customers Willingness to work varying schedules depending on moving jobs Willingness to occasionally travel for long-distance and overnight moves Moving, delivery, furniture, warehouse, construction, landscaping, or other physical labor experience is preferred but not required Experience using moving equipment such as hand trucks, shoulder dollies, ratchet straps, and furniture pads is a plus, but training can be provided.
