AdeccoJob Title: Jewelry Planner Location : New York City, NY (4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote) Pay Rate: $50-$55/hour Assignment Length: 4-6 months Position Overview A leading luxury jewelry brand is seeking an experienced Jewelry Planner to support inventory strategy, demand planning, and merchandise optimization across retail boutiques and e-commerce channels. This role will partner closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Logistics, Commercial teams, and International Operations to ensure the right product is available at the right place and time while maximizing sales opportunities and inventory productivity. The ideal candidate brings strong planning and analytical experience within luxury retail, fashion, jewelry, or other high-touch consumer goods environments and thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven setting. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain demand forecasts, inventory plans, and replenishment strategies for existing products and new launches. Analyze sales trends, inventory performance, stock levels, and product demand to optimize assortment and allocation decisions. Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, and International Operations teams to support product launches and assortment planning across retail and e-commerce channels. Monitor inventory health, identify risks and opportunities, and implement strategies to reduce shortages, excess inventory, and slow-moving stock. Manage stock allocations, transfers, and inventory balancing initiatives across the North American retail network. Serve as a key liaison between local business teams and international partners to resolve inventory challenges and improve product availability. Collaborate with Logistics teams to oversee inbound and outbound inventory flows, shipment tracking, returns, and warehouse prioritization. Support inventory optimization initiatives, including damaged stock management, stock reduction programs, and employee sale product selection. Create, maintain, and enhance reporting dashboards using Power BI and other business intelligence tools. Analyze weekly and monthly business trends, including sales performance, inventory levels, stock shortages, and operational metrics. Present actionable insights and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership. Drive process improvements and participate in special projects aimed at enhancing supply chain and inventory management capabilities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. Experience in merchandise planning, inventory planning, allocation, merchandising, buying, or supply chain planning. Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and data interpretation capabilities. Experience with SAP and Power BI preferred. Strong understanding of retail inventory management, forecasting, and assortment planning. Luxury retail, jewelry, watches, fashion, or premium consumer goods experience highly preferred. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams. Preferred Background Luxury jewelry, watches, or high-end retail experience. Knowledge of merchandise planning, allocation strategies, and inventory optimization. Experience supporting both retail store networks and e-commerce channels.
