Medical Courier Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Medical Courier Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting medical supplies, specimens, and equipment between healthcare facilities, laboratories, and pharmacies. Your role is vital in ensuring timely deliveries that support patient care and healthcare operations. Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including box trucks, vans, and personal vehicles to deliver medical items across designated routes. Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws to ensure safe driving practices at all times. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs using mobile devices or electronic tracking systems. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit. Ensure proper handling of sensitive medical materials with care and professionalism during loading, transit, and delivery. Provide excellent customer service by interacting courteously with healthcare staff and facility personnel upon delivery. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in warehouse operations involving material handling. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling in accordance with safe lifting practices. Familiarity with route driving, traffic regulations, and DOT compliance requirements. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently. Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with clients and team members.
