Materials Planner
AkkodisAkkodis is seeking a Materials Planner for a Contract job with a client in Marysville, WA. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the MRP & Materials Planning and Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills. Rate Range: $40/hour to $49/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Note: This position requires the use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access to controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including some refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license. Summary Responsible for developing and maintaining accurate BOMs and MRP data to ensure timely material availability for custom aircraft interior production. Works cross-functionally to optimize planning, inventory, lead times, and material flow. Responsibilities Review engineering drawings and determine required materials, components, quantities, and make/buy requirements. Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material data in the MRP system. Calculate material requirements based on production schedules, demand, and lead times. Create purchase requisitions and coordinate with Procurement to meet production needs. Monitor material availability and deliveries against production and aircraft modification schedules. Work with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, PM, Sales, and Stores on material specifications, substitutions, costs, and lead times. Identify and expedite delayed materials and support resolution of material-related production issues. Analyze material costs and inventory to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Drive improvements in planning processes, material flow, and MRP utilization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. 2–5 years of materials, production, or supply chain planning experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace/aircraft interiors preferred. Strong knowledge of MRP systems, BOMs, inventory, and production planning. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and material specifications. Proficient with MRP, ERP, database, spreadsheet, and project management systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
