g supplier agreements, supporting new product launches, and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials and services that keep our business moving forward. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout North America while helping drive purchasing excellence across our organization.
Your Role
As Our Senior Buyer, You Will
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for automotive components, materials, tooling, equipment, and services.
• Lead supplier sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFQs, supplier evaluation, and supplier selection.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements to improve profitability and mitigate supply risks.
• Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned commodities.
• Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and overall service levels.
• Support new product launches by participating in APQP, PPAP, engineering changes, and program implementation activities.
• Identify and proactively address supply chain risks, capacity concerns, and market fluctuations.
• Develop and onboard new suppliers in partnership with Supplier Development Engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Projects, Quality, Operations, Logistics, Production, and Supply Chain teams to achieve business objectives.
• Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, supplier records, and procurement documentation within SAP and approved purchasing systems.
• Prepare purchasing metrics, analyses, and reports that support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
• Build strong supplier relationships that support long-term business success and performance expectations.
What You Bring to The Table
We're seeking a procurement professional who combines strong business acumen with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Required Qualifications
• 5-7 years of Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain experience within the automotive industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers and stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
• SAP experience.
• Knowledge of E-Procurement systems.
• Experience supporting automotive new product launches and supplier development initiatives.
• Understanding of APQP, PPAP, and automotive manufacturing processes.
• German language skills are a plus.
• Experience working within a global manufacturing organization.
