The Materials Coordinator is a 90-percent office position, with occasional travel to Houston Metropolitan Area, Austin, and DFW Metroplex. The position controls and monitors the purchase and receiving of plastic trunklines and mains, routine inventory, and reporting, and communicating the project information and transfer of pipe between projects to accounting. The position reports directly to the Director of Project Management with indirect reporting to all Project Managers. Job functions for this position may include, but are not limited to the following: · Utilize SAP to receive, issue, transfer, and track materials in support of utility construction, maintenance, and capital projects. · Maintain accurate inventory records and material transactions to ensure reliable stock availability across warehouse and field operations. · Support inventory control activities including cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution. · Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, procurement, and vendors to ensure timely material availability and accurate system records. · Create a process for estimating the amount of ALL leftover pipe remaining after construction, and compare it to the actual. Estimate the amount of pipe waste per project. Document leftover pipe remaining plus waste = amount purchased and put in the ground. · Use system layouts to create PO’s for pipe purchases including associated materials. · Create a process acknowledging receipt of materials delivered to each project site, such as obtaining “Bill-of-landing” sign off forms and verification. · As needed on larger projects, work with Inspection team in the field to ensure pipe materials delivered match-up to pipe orders and Purchase Orders. · Review how much pipe is leftover per project and compare it to Purchase Order and GPS-As-built to determine how much waste. · Maintain the process for inventory tracking, that shows pipe inventory coming from a project, into inventory (i.e. Contractor Yard or SiEnergy’s warehouse) and back to a new project; Keep Accounting informed. Tracking the pipe from purchase to use or waste. Entered into SAP. · Assist Project Managers as needed in the creating of Project Work Orders. · Ensure pipe purchased adheres to Construction Specifications and Standards · Occasional travel between Austin-Houston-DFW to work with Inspectors as needed to review pipe materials, parts and appurtenances. · Supports Operations staff in emergency situations requiring pipe purchase history documentation · Document all pipe used in repairs · Support gathering all necessary pipe damage documentation for completing and submitting all required documentation in conjunction with damages · Support to Engineering and Construction team requests. · Follows company policies and procedures · Wears appropriate PPE as required · Follows OSHA, SíEnergy, DOT and other State and Federal regulations and procedures · Attends company safety meetings and training · These duties are not all inclusive and the employee may perform other duties and tasks as required and directed · Manage Physical Documentation · Count /organize pipe in inventory yard(s) by age/manufacturer. · Organize pipe by age and exposure · Administrative Tasks: County filing requests for easements, etc. Will Serve letters Secondary Duties · Maintains company time sheet · Completes all company training and qualifications required for position Education Requirements: · High School Diploma or G.E.D Skills and Abilities Required: · Preferred experience with SAP or other large scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system · Ability to learn SíEnergy’s mapping system · Ability to learn and follow Construction standards, state an…
