Materials Analyst and Administrator

Job Summary PAC Stainless, LTD., a leading distributor of industrial stainless steel products, has an excellent opportunity located at the company’s Houston, Texas corporate office for a: Materials Junior Stock Analyst/Administrator PAC Stainless is searching for a highly energetic, self-motivated individual who will report to the Director of Materials Management and Procurement. The position will be responsible for: Responsibilities Review, analysis and assessment of multiple stock standard product lines Provide purchasing support for branch sales people for non-stock items. Follow-up and expedite critical orders with manufacturers. Support customer programs with managed inventory needs. Resolve rejections and other material, mill test certificate, quality and other supplier based situations. Involvement in both short and long term projects International customs paperwork and resolve border customs issues Identify and resolve logistic, receiving and inventory discrepancy issues. Set up shipping forwarders with proper protocols. Track supplier performance in quality, delivery schedules, price, and provide direction on corrective action and improvement. Coordinate with forwarders to ensure timely deliveries and resolve insurance claim issues Ensure adherence to quality, safety and environmental policies, plant rules and company policies Promote and champion improvement within the work environment Experience B.S. Degree, preferably in a business related field Minimum 2 years experience in procurement of industrial products Proven ability in facilitation, team-building and training Excellent written and oral communication skills Computer experience – Proficiency in MS Office required Ability to perform well in a team-based, continuous improvement environment Join us in this important role to contribute to a growing distributor of stainless steel and alloy tubing across the world.
