Material Stock Room Attendant – Wire and Cable

Specialty Cable Corporation is a air conditioned, 65,000 square foot manufacturing plant for wire and cable products located in Wallingford, CT. Specialty Cable just celebrated being in manufacturing for 100 Years. We are a privately held manufacturer specializing in insulated electronic wire and cable products for Military & Aerospace and high performance industrial applications, is seeking a Material Stockroom Attendant. Duties include but are not limited to: Receive and store material, keep inventories accurate, neat, labeled and organized Distribute requests for production floor Record amounts of materials received or distributed accurately Issue receipts and returns to warehouse Perform Cycle Count inventory Develop cross-functional skills Operate hand truck, cart, dollies and forklift Keep stockroom area clean and orderly Qualified candidates will have one or more years of previous warehouse experience, must be able to lift 50 lbs, must have Forklift/reach truck experience, be able to read and interpret product specifications and requisitions, good math and organizational skills, and have a basic knowledge of materials management, inventory control and warehousing principles. An understanding of the ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system. Wire and Cable experience a plus. Competitive salary and benefits.
