JOB TITLE DESCRIPTION: 1.1 The Scheduler or designate is to coordinate production activities throughout the plant to maintain customer requirements at Plasman. 2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: 2.1 This position Directly reports to: Materials Manager Scheduling/Logistics Supervisor 3. RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES: The responsibilities and authorities for this position include, but are certainly not limited to: 3.1 Cycle count finished good program and finished goods reconciliation. 3.2 Product launch through end of service planning. 3.3 Receiving customer releases through EDI and/or e-mail. 3.4 Liaison and customer contact for material related issues. 3.5 Analyzing these releases to create an effective production schedule. 3.6 Communicating production schedules to Purchasing, Maintenance and Plant Supervisors. 3.7 Determining and maintaining finished goods inventory levels. 3.8 Communication daily releases to Shipping Personnel to ensure orders are prepared for shipment. 3.9 Confers with the Materials Manager to determine status of assigned projects. 3.10 With direction from Scheduling & Logistics Supervisor will expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. 3.11 Provides Shipping Coordinators with appropriate information to make timely and accurate shipments to customers. 3.12 Responsible to prepare and administer 5-day assembly schedule. 3.13 Responsible to prepare and administer 16-week production schedule and labor planning accordingly. 3.14 Ensure personal and associate awareness and understanding of ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 (includes ISO 9001) Standards, and company policies and procedures. 3.15 During management system audit events provide evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures and participate in corrective action activities as necessary. 3.16 Always promote an atmosphere of teamwork. 3.17 Ability to work in fast pace environment, prioritizing different tasks and communicating with other departments. 3.18 Ensure that a clean and safe work environment is always maintained. 3.19 Complete any other duties as assigned. 3.20 Ensure that sufficient resources are available for each department including training, safety requirements, personnel, work instructions, procedures, and related tools. 3.21 Assist in any way to any employee, necessary to promote a successful operation emphasizing customer satisfaction. 3.22 Directs supervisors in maintaining positive employee relations and safe work environment. 3.23 Ensure that all employees receive proper training and understand all job tasks. 4. HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: 4.1 The Scheduler is responsible for complying with the Company Health & Safety Program including Occupational Health & Safety Legislation, regulations, standards, and Company Health & Safety policies.
