Material Handling Operator

Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient movement of materials and products while adhering to safety protocols. Duties · Operate forklift/reach truck to load and unload materials safely. Perform order picking tasks, unloading trucks and ensuring accurate selection of products for shipment. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate the movement of goods within the facility. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following OSHA safety regulations at all times. Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for delivery. Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required (up to 35lbs), ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Hand-bomb floor loaded containers. Build and fill different boxes with product (kitting). Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts and reach truck Familiarity with order picking processes and inventory management systems. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 35 lbs) safely and efficiently. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
