Material Handler - Shift Worker Reports To: Site Lead Who we are: AXion Logistics is a 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) provider with a focus on the petrochemical industry. We have worked to develop strong relationships with the Petrochemical Industry and the supporting Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) companies; Integrated Material Suppliers; and General Mechanical providers. AXion has proven, effective processes and technologies. We have the experience and understanding required to efficiently manage routine Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) materials, order spares, manage inbound delivery and receipt, provide preservation and maintenance services, and the dispositioning of surplus or obsolete material and equipment. Position Purpose: Primary objective is to support maintenance repair and overhaul activities in the production plants serviced from the warehouse at the lowest overall cost to Client, while following all safety rules and recommendations. Work Schedule: Rotating 12-hour (6-6) shift schedule to include OT, Weekends, and some Holidays (Reflected on a biweekly pay cycle) Week 1: 4 consecutive night shifts, then have 3 days off (48 hrs.). Week 2: 3-day shifts, have 1 day off, then work 3 night shifts (72 hrs.) Week 3: Have 3 days off, then work 4 consecutive day shifts (48 hrs.) Week 4: Have 7 consecutive days off (0 hrs.) Duties & Responsibilities: AXion Material Handler - Shift Worker will: · Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment. · Responsible for safely receiving, storing, transporting, and supplying materials throughout the facility to support continuous production and operational requirements. · Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation. · Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards. · Communicate effectively during shift handovers to ensure operational continuity. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: · Significant work experience in Materials & Warehouse operations background/maintenance experience · Industrial equipment and materials knowledge · Capable of delivering results and meeting aggressive timelines · Strong problem-solving and implementation planning skills · Effective interpersonal and team building skills · Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite) · Knowledge of SAP MM/WM or equivalent · Highly developed critical analysis skills and creative thinking · Valid Driver’s License Required · Safety Essentials or Equivalent Required · Forklift Experience Required · Ability to kneel, squat, lift and carry 50lbs, climb ladders, etc. Company Conformance Statements: In the performance of their respective tasks and duties, all employees are expected to conform to the following: · Maintain excellent record of attendance and punctuality. · Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. · Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers. · Maintain high ethical standards in all actions. · Adhere to generally accepted safety practices at all times. · Support the company’s culture in actions and communications.
