Material Handler
We Pack It AllPosition Overview A Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within the warehouse. This includes tasks like receiving shipments, loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and operating material handling equipment such as forklifts to ensure timely delivery of materials to designated locations while adhering to safety guidelines. Key Responsibilities Verifies quantities, quality, and condition of received materials against purchase orders. Properly labels and places inventory in designated storage locations within the warehouse. Operates forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, or other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments from delivery trucks. Maintains accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts and reporting discrepancies. Properly labels materials and documents movements within the warehouse using inventory management systems. Inspects materials for damage or defects and reports issues. Understands and enforces all GMPs, SOPs, and SAFETY PROTOCOLS. Follows all sanitation procedures, processes, and safety requirements. Keeps accurate records of downtime and the cause of the issue. Qualifications Valid forklift certification (required) Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory/warehouse management systems (WMS); RF scanner experience a plus Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and reconciling inventory Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping Able to read, write, and understand instructions in English Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 lbs Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for the duration of the shift Able to safely climb on and off material handling equipment Able to work in a warehouse environment, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and dust Comfortable working at heights when operating equipment such as reach trucks Education: High school diploma or equivalent Benefits: 401(k) & Roth 401(k) Employee Discounts Dental Insurance Health Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Life Insurance Paid Holidays 2pm-10:30pm
