Company offers benefits and retirement plan options 2nd Chance Employers REPORTS TO: Materials Supervisor Department: Material Handling Essential Responsibilities The Material Handler, under the direction of the Materials Supervisor is responsible for the loading/unloading of materials from trucks as well as assisting with the maintaining of inventory. Specific Responsibilities Load, unload and check in freight Storing and documenting freight Deliver material to the production area. Count and organize part storage area. Read and interpret written orders, specifications and labels. Perform safety and quality checks. Work and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Basic math, tape measurement and computer skills. Basic experience with Forklifts/PIT Equipment. Able to understand and comprehend measurement. Highschool diploma or equivalent GED. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. Ability to work under minimum supervision while working in a team-oriented environment. Must be able to: Carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds of dead weight. Climb up and down a ladder. Sit, stand, kneel, squat, crouch, or crawl. Twist or turn in confined spaces.
