Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Health & Wellness: Company-paid Life Insurance Policy and Employee Assistance Program; Medical, Dental, Vision; Supplemental Life Insurance; LTD/STD Retirement: Company-sponsored 401K Retirement Plan with company match Other Benefits: Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off Location: Benbrook, TX (On-site position) Department: Outsource Services Reports To: OTSL Operations Manager OVERVIEW: The Material Associate is responsible for providing hands-on logistical and building maintenance support at the location including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools and equipment. This role ensures accuracy in inventory records and supports utilities operational needs. Responsibilities Perform day-to-day tasks such as receiving, storing, issuing and returning materials, tools and equipment to maintain accurate inventory levels and general housekeeping. Conduct cycle counts, reconciliations, audits, and inspections to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with quality standards. Safely operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts, in compliance with safety guidelines. Order material through project management software for operation projects and perform Project Closeout tasks. Coordinate with warehouse operational team and/or vendors to ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials, tools, and equipment. Collaborate with Team Lead, district personnel, Supply Chain Management and other departments to meet inventory demands and address discrepancies. Maintain organized and orderly storeroom conditions, adhering to 5S and lean practices as applicable. Ability to work overtime as required. Knowledge of emergency utility restoration needs during outages. Qualifications High school diploma or GED plus minimum 5 consecutive years of experience in warehousing and inventory management; or Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field plus minimum 3 years of experience in warehousing and inventory management required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Certification to operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment. Computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook and MS365 CoPilot); Warehouse Management System (WMS) and inventory management software required. Curiosity and practical experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or similar. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards, including OSHA; OSHA10 certification preferred.
