Marina Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator Job Summary: This team member would assist with the movement of boats around the marina through operating a forklift and would assist with general grounds maintenance. Job Expectations The forklift operators are expected to move vessels as requested. It is expected that all team members will handle themselves in a professional manner when interacting with both members and contractors alike. Forklift operators will need to remove vessels from the water in a timely manner to ensure that the launch and retrieval docks stay clear for other vessels to come/go as needed. Forklift operators will also be responsible for placing vessels in and around Inlet Watch Yacht Club dry storage areas. Additional daily task could be assigned as needed and will be at the discretion of the Inlet Watch Yacht Club management. Those tasks could be, but are not limited to: Perform daily walkthrough of all docks, IWYC common areas, clubhouse, tennis court, bathhouses, swimming pool, lawns, landscaping, parking lots, roadways, etc. Routine cleaning of clubhouse and pool bathhouse. Assist with the use and storing of all equipment and/or tools. The fabrication and installation of cradles; built to ensure the safety of our members boats being stored in dry storage. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: A high school diploma is required for this position. Training: This position requires that a valid Industrial Forklift Operator’s Permit/License be in place at all times. This is included in the training provided by IWYC and is not a prerequisite to being offered a position. Computer Skills : To perform this position successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet, Word, and be able to navigate an android tablet. Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position requires outdoor work. Weather Conditions: This position requires our team to work in continuously changing weather conditions. Best Management Practices: Actively employs appropriate time management skills while thoroughly completing all tasks associated with the position. Job Type: Full-time Salary : In-training pay starting at $20.00/hr. Post-training pay at $22.00/hr. Benefits : Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Schedule : Full Time, 40hr work week. Weekends are a requirement.
